Saint Argentea of Cordoba was the daughter of Omar ben Hafsun. After the death of her mother, Argentea devoted herself to prayer and religious life. Later, she was forced to flee from Muslim troops to a monastery in Cordoba, where she was captured, imprisoned, and finally executed. She died on May 13, 931 in Cordoba, Spain.
