Biography
Saint Arnulf of Metz, retainer and guide of Austrasian King Theodebert II. A soldier. Hitched the Lady Doda. Father. From his child Ansegisel and St. Begga of Ardenne came the Carolingian rulers of France. Single man. In 610, when Arnulf was going to turn into a priest at Lérins, he was designated bishop of Metz, France. He assumed a noticeable job in undertakings of state, was instrumental in making Clotaire of Neustria lord of Austrasia, was boss advocate to King Dagobert of Austrasia. In 626 Arnulf surrendered his see and resigned to a hermitage close to the monastery of Remiremont.
