Saint Bernard of Calvo Biography
Saint Bernard of Calvo was also known as Bernard of Vich. He was Educated in Manso Calvo, Spain and Lleida, Spain. He was a Benedictine Cistercian monk. Additionally, he Worked with Saint Raymond of Penyafort. He was the Canon of the Tarragona cathedral and vicar-general in Tarragona, Spain. Bernard of Vic wasa appointed by Pope Gregory IX to combat the Waldenses in 1232 on the border of France. Later, he became the Bishop of Vich, Spain in 1233. He was abbot of Santa Creus Monastery near Tarragona, Spain. Part of the of Council of Tarragona in 1239 and 1243.
