Biography
St. Boniface of Lausanne was educated at the University of Paris in France. He became a Cistercian monk at Cambre Abbey near Brussels in Belgium. He taught at Universities in France from 1222 to 1229 and then in Cologne, Germany from 1229 to 1231 AD.
Boniface later became the Bishop of Lausanne in Switzerland in 1231 AD. He was one of the bishops at the First Council of Lyon. He later retired to his old monastery of Cambre to spent the rest of his days.
