Saint Conrad of Constance Biography
Saint Conrad of Constance was also known as Konrad of Konstanz. He was the Second child of Count Heinrich von Altdorf, some portion of the Guelf family. Taught at the house of God school at Constance, Germany (in present-day Switzerland). Cleric.
Executive of the house of prayer. Diocesan of Constance from 934 to 975. Made three journeys to the Holy Lands. Went with Emperor Otto I to Rome, Italy.
Revamped places of worship in his ward, and manufactured three new ones on grounds he acquired. Known for his philanthropy to poor people, and his absence of worry over the power governmental issues that involved such huge numbers of different ministers of the day.
During Mass one day an arachnid dropped into the goblet of Precious Blood; however Conrad accepted all creepy crawlies were noxious, his adoration for fellowship conquered his dread, and he drank the Blood, insect what not. He did, obviously, endure.
On 14 September 948, Conrad was an observer to the wonderful sanctification of the Chapel of Mary, Einsiedeln, Switzerland by Christ and a few heavenly attendants.
