St Darerca Biography
St Darerca was born in the 5th century AD. She was the sister of Saint Patrick. She was married to Conis and was a mother of nineteen children, ten of whom became bishops. They include Saint Mel of Ardagh, Saint Sechnall, and Saint Rioc. They had been reported to have been miracle workers and to have the gift of prophecy. Her history is obscured by legend.
