St. Desiderius of Cahors Biography
St. Desiderius of Cahors was also known as Didier. He was destined to the Gallo-Roman nobility, the child of Salvius and Herchenfreda; sibling of Saint Rusticus. He taught in the court of King Clotaire II. Considered standard law. Illustrious treasurer to Clotaire II and Dagobert I. Religious administrator of Cahors, France from 630 to 655. An incredible supporter of devout life for the two people in his see, and of chapel development.
