Saint Anianus of Wilparting

St Anianus of Wilparting was also known as Anianus of Irschenberg or Aniano. He was the nephew of St Anianus of Wilparting and a travelling missionary deacon.

He died as a martyr in 697 AD at Mount Irschenberg, Bavaria, Germany.

Saint Marinus of Wilparting

St Marinus of Wilparting was also known as Marianus of Irschenberg or Mariano. He was the uncle of Anianus of Wilparting and a travelling missionary bishop.

He died as a martyr in 697 AD at Mount Irschenberg, Bavaria, Germany.

Blessed Caius of Korea

Blessed Caius of Korea was also known as Caio and was born in Korea in 1571 AD. He was a layman catechist in the Archdiocese of Nagasaki, Japan.

Caius was accepted into the Jesuits but was executed before the notice reached him. He was burned alive on November 15 1624 in Nagasaki, Japan, and died as a Martyr.

He was beatified on May 7 1867 by Pope Pius IX.

Blessed Miguel Díaz Sánchez

Blessed Miguel Díaz Sánchez was born on July 30 1879 in Caudete, Orihuela, Spain. He was a priest in the diocese of Albacete, Spain.

He was martyred in the Spanish Civil War and died on November 15 1936 in Almansa, Albacete, Spain. He was beatified on October 28 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.

Saint Gurias of Edessa

St Gurias of Edessa was born in Sarcigitua and was also known as Guria or Gury. He was beheaded in 305 AD at Edessa in Syria and died as a martyr during the persecution of Christians by the Roman emperor Diocletian.

Saint Fintan the Missionary

St Fintan the Missionary was born in Ireland and was a missionary to Switzerland and Germany. He was noted for the depth of his prayer life.

In later life, he retired to live as a hermit on an island in the Rhine River. He died in 827 AD due to natural causes.

St Felix of Nola was a bishop at Nola in Italy. He was martyred with 30 other Christians in the 3rd century AD during the persecution of Christians by Prefect Marcianus.

Saint Eugene of Toledo

Saint Eugene of Toledo was also known as Eugenius. He was a third-century missionary who worked with St Dionysius of Paris. He died as a martyr and his relics were translated to Toledo in Spain in 1148.

St Paduinus of Le Mans was also known as Pavin of Le Mans. He was a monk at St. Vincent Abbey, Le Mans in France. He was the first abbot of St. Mary’s Abbey, Le Mans. He died in 703 AD.

St. Machudd of Llanfechel was also known as Machell or Mechell. He founded Llanfechell Abbey, Anglesey in Wales, and served as its first abbot. He died in the 7th century AD.

Saint Arnulf of Toul

St. Arnulf of Toul was a bishop at Toul, France from 847 AD to 871 AD. He opposed the divorce of King Lothair II. He died in 871 AD.

St. Luperius of Verona was a bishop at Verona, Italy.
