St Emeric of Hungary was the son of King Stephen I of Hungary and heir to the throne.
He was born in 1007 in Székesfehérvár, Hungary.
He died on September 2 1031 in Hegyközszentimre, Romania.
We celebrate his feast day on November 5 every year in the Catholic Church.

St. Emeric of Hungary was also known as Americus. He was born a prince, the son of St. Stephen of Hungary.
He was a spiritual student of St. Gerard Sagredo and was married in 1022 AD.
He did not live to inherit his father’s throne because he died accidentally while hunting.
