Saint’s Biography
Saint Ethelwin of Lindsey was a monk at Ripon Abbey and a hermit on Farne Island for 12 years. St. Ethelwin was a friend of Saint Egbert. Bishop of Lindsey, England. Late in life St. Ethelwin retired to religious life in Ireland. He died in the 8th century Ireland of natural causes and buried at Lindisfarne, England.
