Biography
Saint Fiorenzo of Cahors was a bishop. St. Paulinus of Nola referred to him as humble of heart, gentle in speech and strong on grace.
On the off chance that the presence of San Fiorenzo is bore witness to by the correspondence of St. Paolino of Nola towards 405. Found that he had as of late been chosen priest of Cahors, the advanced historiography names him diocesan between the finish of the fourth century and the start of the fifth century. San Paolino di Nola calls it “episcopus Cadurcensis named Florentius” truly verified toward the finish of the fourth century, and depicted as a modest and genuine man in the beauty got from God. Additionally associated with the sweetness of his words.
In spite of the fact that the Duchesne thought of him as the main certain religious administrator of Cahors, trailed by Alizio. Today we know how before him there were two diocesans in Cahors. The first is San Genulfo, authenticated in the third century to which San Sebastiano succeeded. Simply after them, it is passed on that San Fiorenzo named diocesan of the French ward which incorporates the division of Lot. In this manner San Fiorenzo viewed as the third cleric of Cahors.
After him in the chronotaxis of the priests we discover Sant’Alizio, which is thought to have ruled the ward in the years 407-409.
His memorial was booked for 4 July.
