Saint Gregory of Crete Life History

As a shepherd boy, Gregory had found his way to Jerusalem from Crete. There he led the life of a beggar for twelve years. St. Gregory then went to Rome, where he became a monk. By St. Michael the Confessor and taken to Constantinople.  St. Gregory died in 820 in Constantinople.
