Biography
Saint Hedwig, Queen of Poland, Most youthful girl of King Louis I of Hungary. Since she was the great-niece to King Casimir III of Poland, she progressed toward becoming Queen of Poland in 1382 upon her dad’s passing. She was locked in to William, Duke of Austria, whom she cherished, however severed the relationship so as to wed Jagiello, non-Christian Prince of Lithuania, at age 13 for political reasons. She offered her hopelessness in this marriage to Christ, and she in the long run changed over her better half; Jagiello was later known as King Landislaus II of Poland after the unification of the kingdoms, an association that kept going more than 400 years. Noted for her philanthropy to all, particularly the sick and poor, and for a correction of the laws to support poor people.
