St Hilary of Galeata was a hermit born in 476 AD in Tuscany, Italy and died on May 15 558 at the age of 82 in Lugo, Spain. We celebrate his feast day on May 15 every year in the Catholic Church.
Saint Hilary of Galeata was a hermit in Italy. He and several other hermits joined forces to build Galeata Monastery. It was later renamed in his honor Sant-Ilaro and handed over to the Camaldolese Order.
