Saint’s Biography
Saint Honorius of Amiens was born to a noble family in France. He was known as a devout child and was educated by Saint Beatus of Amiens. Honorius was chosen as the bishop of Amiens in France but hesitated because he saw himself as unworthy.
Legend has it that a ray of divine light and holy oil appeared on his head when he was elected bishop. Honorius rediscovered the lost relics of St. Victoricus of Amiens, St. Fuscian of Amiens, and Saint Gentian of Amiens, which had been lost for 300 years.
He died in 600 AD in France of natural causes. Miracles were reported at his grave, especially in 1060, when his body was exhumed.
