St. Joseph Mukasa was also known as Josef Mukasa Balikuddembe. Kayozi tribe. Servant to King Mwanga of Uganda, and skipper of the ruler’s pages. Convert, joining on 15 November 1885. Censured the multi-year-old ruler for his licentious way of life, his drinking, his advances to the male court pages, and the affliction of Anglican minister priest James Hannington.
