St. Lorenzo Maiorano was related to Emperor Zeno of Byzantium. He was the Bishop of Siponto, Italy in 492AD after consecration by pope Gelasius I. He even received several visions of the Archangel Michael following Michael’s appearance on Mount Gargano.
