St Lubentius Life History
When he was a small boy, St Lubentius was handed over to St Martin of Tours by his parents. Martin baptized him and later sent him to St Maximinus of Trier who prepared and taught him for the priesthood.
When he finished his priestly education, St Maximinus of Trier ordained him as a priest. Lubentius served as a parish priest in Kobern, Germany, and as a missionary along the Lahn river where he founded the Church at Dietkirchen.
Relics
When St Lubentius died in 370 AD in Kobern, Germany his relics were interred in the collegiate Church of Saint Lubentius in Dietkirchen, Limburg, Germany.
