Saint Martin of Vertou Biography
Saint Martin of Vertou was also known as Apostle of the Herbauges. He was born to a wealthy family, to a family outstanding in his district. Later he was appointed a minister by Saint Felix. Noted for his absence of aptitude as a minister. Loner in the Dumen timberland at Brittany. There his undeniable holiness pulled in such a significant number of devotees that he was constrained found Vertou nunnery close Nantes, France and fill in as its first abbot; legend says he was directed to the site of the cloister by a holy messenger. Later established Saint Jouin-de-Marne monastery, the religious community at Durieu, and aided the establishment of different houses. Detailed marvel laborer.
