Saint’s Biography
Saint Maximus of Alexandria was priest in Egypt during the time Saint Dionysius of Alexandria was exiled in 257. St. Maximus governed the patriarchate from 251 to 264. In 265 St. Maximus was ordained as Bishop of Alexandria.
