St Mucius was a Priest who destroyed an altar of the pagan god Bacchus at Amphipolis, Macedonia. He was born in the 3rd century AD in Byzantium and died as a martyr in 304 AD in Constantinople (Istanbul). We celebrate his feast day on May 13 every year in the Catholic Church.
