Saint Phlegon of Hyrcania also known as Flegon was the first century bishop of Hyrcania, Greece. He may have been one of the “70 Disciples of Christ”. One of the readings he read was, greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brothers who are with them. – Epistle to the Romans, 16:14. He was martyred and is mentioned by Saint Paul the Apostle in the Epistle to the Romans.
