In 362 AD in Dorostorium, modern-day Silistra, Bulgaria, he was burned to death and died as a martyr in the persecutions of Julian the Apostate.
Blessed Alanus of Sassovivo
Blessed Alanus of Sassovivo was born in the 13th century in Austria. He became a Benedictine monk in Austria in the late 13th century. He was part of the Pilgrim to Rome, Italy for the Holy Year of 1300 AD.
He joined the Benedictine Sassovivo Abbey near Foligno, Italy, and left communal life in 1311 AD to live his remaining years as a hermit.
In 1313 AD he died of natural causes.
Saint Athanasius of Clysma
St Athanasius was a high government official in the 4th century in Egypt. He was discovered to be a Christian when he was found at Christmas Mass at Clysma, Egypt in the area of the Suez Gulf.
In the 4th century AD, he died as a martyr after he was imprisoned and eventually beheaded in Clysma, Egypt for his faith.

Blessed Bernard de Arenis was a French-born Mercedarian friar. He was sent to evangelize in North Africa. Throughout his travels, he was abused for his faith.
He managed to free 222 Christians who had been captured, imprisoned, and enslaved by Muslims.

St Maternus of Milan was a Bishop of Milan, Italy in 295 AD. He was one of those who were tortured in the persecutions of Diocletian.
He survived those persecutions and followed his vocation. In 307 AD he died of natural causes.
Saint Gundenis of Carthage
St Gundenis of Carthage was also known as Gundenes. She was a maiden who was martyred in the persecutions of Septimus Severus.
In 203 AD, she died at Carthage in modern-day Tunis, Tunisia.

Blessed Arnold of Amiens was also known as Arnould or Arnulfus. From 1236 AD to 1247 AD, he was the Bishop of Amiens, France. He died of natural causes in 1247 AD.
