Blessed Roger Wrenno was born in Chorley, Lancashire, England in 1576AD. He was also known as Ruggero. He has an additional Memorial on 22nd November as one of the Martyrs of England, Scotland, and Wales. As a layman of the apostolic vicariate of England, he ministered and converted Catholics during the persecutions of James I. He died as a martyr on 16th March, 1616 in Lancaster, Lancashire, England. Pope John Paul II beatified him on 22nd November, 1987.

St. Eucarpius of Nicomedia was a pagan soldier in the imperial Roman army and was stationed in Nicomedia (in modern Turkey). His assignment was to hunt Christians during the persecutions of Diocletian but when he came to know them and the faith so well, he converted. He died as a martyr after been burned alive in 304 at Nicomedia.
