He underwent a conversion to Christianity during the first wave of persecutions after receiving a letter from his mother and sister about their faith. He was later martyred in Nicomedia in the year 303 AD by beheading.

St. Adrian of Maastricht, also known as Hadrian, was a monk in Maastricht, Netherlands and a spiritual disciple of St. Landoald of Maastricht.

He was killed by robbers while he was seeking alms for his community, and this event occurred in the year 668 AD. He is venerated as a martyr for giving his life in service to his fellow brothers.
