Blessed Juan Moya Collado was born on 2 October 1918 in Almeria Spain and died on 31 May 1938 in Turón, Granada Spain. He was a young layman in the diocese of Almeria Spain and later martyred in the Spanish Civil War. Additionally, he was venerated on 14 June 2016 by Pope Francis (decree of martyrdom).

To escape the persecutions of Diocletian, the family sold their property and moved to Aquileia, Italy. However, the authorities there quickly ordered them to sacrifice to idols; they refused. They were all martyrs.
