Saint’s Biography
Saint Pega of Peakirk was born in Mercia, England and was the daughter of Penwalh. She was the Sister of Saint Guthlac of Croyland. Pega and her bother (St. Guthlac) settled on Crowland Island (England) who lived there as a hermit. After fifteen years without her brother, he sent her a letter saying he was dying and Pega went to see him. They were soon reunited, for, after having buried her brother, she died in Rome, where she was on a pilgrimage in 719 AD. Pega was related to the royal family of the East Angles.
