Biography
Saint Philastrius of Brescia, a priest, then bishop of Brescia, Italy. Bishop during a period of Arian unsettling influences, he emphatically contradicted and composed against the blasphemy, working with St. Ambrose of Milan and St. Augustine of Hippo. Taken an interest in the Synod of Aquileia of 381. Known for his philanthropy to the poor of his flock.
