Saint’s Biography
Saint Philip of Zell was an English hermit who lived near Worms in Germany. He was a friend of and advisor to King Pepin the Short. After his death, a monastery was built around the place where his cell had been, and later the town of Zell grew up around the monastery. Memorial Day is on May 3.
