Saint’s Biography
Saint Placid of Autun was a Benedictine monk and later an abbot in the basilica of Saint Symphorian at Autun, France. He was the son of the patrician Tertullus and a disciple of St Benedict of Nursia. As a child, he was brought to Benedict at Subiaco and dedicated to God. He died in 675 AD.
