Biography
St. Silvinus of Auchy spent most of his youth in the Courts of King ChildericII and King Thierry II. On the night of his marriage, he decided to leave for a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and decided to change from the worldly life.
He later became a priest where he was ordained in Rome, Italy. Silvinus also had the post of a Bishop in Toulouse and successfully traveled evangelizing in the area around Toulouse and Therouanne. He rescued slaves and later retired to become a Benedictine monk at the abbey of Auchy-Les-Moines in France.
