Biography
Saint Speratus of Scillium, one of a gathering of twelve Christians martyred together, the last killings in the abuses of Emperor Marcus Aurelius. Upon their conviction for the wrongdoing of being Christians, the group was offered 30 days to rethink their faithfulness to the faith; they all declined. Their authority Acta still exist. One of the Martyrs of Scillium. All decapitated on July 17, 180 in Scillium, Numidia (in North Africa).
