St Talaleo of Egea, also known as Taleleo, Thalelaeus, or Thallelaeus, was a Christian Physician born in 265 AD near Mount Lebanon, Phoenicia and died as a martyr in 284 AD in Egea, Macedonia (modern-day Edessa, Greece) during the Christian persecutions in the reign of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius Numerius Numerianus. We celebrate his feast day on May 20 every year in the Catholic Church.
