St Julian of Norwich was an anchoress born in 1342 in Norwich and died in 1416 in Norwich, England. We celebrate her feast day on May 13 every year in the Catholic Church.

Saint’s Biography
Almost nothing is known about the early life of Saint Julian of Norwich. We do not even know if she came from Norwich or moved there, and we’re not sure if her name was Julian before she became an anchoress near the church of Saint Julian.
Hermit among the Benedictines monks in Norwich, England. Mystic, visionary, and writer. Julian’s book, Revelations of Divine Love, contains sixteen revelations that she has received in an ecstatic trance.
Julian meditated, spoke and wrote about the power of love for evil, the Passion of Christ and the essence of the Trinity. In her early 60s, she locked herself up in Conisford, Norwich. She died in c.1423 of natural causes.
