St Secundus of Troia, also known as Secondino, was the Bishop of Troia, Italy born in the 3rd century AD in North Africa. He died as a martyr either in the late 3rd or early 4th century AD in Troia, Southern Italy. We celebrate his feast day on May 27 every year in the Catholic Church.

St Secundus of Troia Life History
St Secundus of Troia was born in North Africa in the 3rd century AD but due to severe persecution by Arian Vandals in his home area, he migrated to Italy.
In Italy, he became the Bishop of Troia but unfortunately, he died as a martyr in the late 3rd or early 4th century AD, and his relics were interred in Saint Mark’s Church in Troia, Italy.
In 1018 AD, during construction work, his relics were rediscovered. Some were translated to the crypt of Saint William in Montevergine, Italy, and others to the cathedral of Benevento, Italy.
He is the patron saint of Troia, Italy.
