Today’s Bible Verse of the Day Reflections
It appears that children have a natural understanding that God resides within them, even though they may not be able to articulate how they know this. They simply have an innate sense that God is present within them.
If someone were to ask you how you know that God comes and dwells within you, you may struggle to find the right words to explain this profound mystery of our faith.
But do you truly believe that God desires to make your heart and soul His home? If you do, how do you think this transformation takes place?
Through the grace of faith, we understand, just like children, that God desires to make His abode within us.
We comprehend that He longs to take possession of our souls, communicate with us, fortify us, and direct our path.
Faith enables us to perceive that God is genuine and yearns for a close and intimate bond with us. We have an innate understanding of this truth.
The positive message is that comprehension follows faith. This indicates that as we pay more attention to God’s voice within us, which directs and guides us, we will progressively comprehend His presence that dwells within us.
St. Augustine once said that having faith means believing in something that is not visible. The gift of faith allows us to understand and see the reality of God dwelling within us.
This understanding is a reward that comes from our faith in Him. The answer to the question of how we know that God dwells within us can only come from God Himself.
We can testify about our faith, show others that God is present in our lives, and answer their question through our faith.
We know that God dwells within us because we can perceive His presence, communicate with Him, and receive His messages.
Take some time today to meditate on the idea of God living within you. Listen attentively to His voice and let your relationship with Him deepen.
As you continue to converse with Him, you will experience His presence growing within you, and this will become evident to those around you.
God not only wants to dwell within you but also wants to radiate through you, so let His light shine through your actions and words.
Let us Pray: Lord, I invite You to reside in my heart. Transform my heart into a place where You can live and be present.
Grant me the ability to recognize and encounter You in my heart, to communicate with You, and to love You with all my being. Jesus, I love you. Amen.
