Bl. Antonia of Florence Biography

Bl. Antonia of Florence was married and a mother of one. She was widowed twice and chose to become a Franciscan tertiary and also a member of the Poor Clare nuns. She was a spiritual student of Saint John Capitran and later became the abbess of Aquila in Italy from 1433 to 1447. Later, she founded an observant-oriented house of Poor Clares in Aquila before she fell sick for her last 15 years.
