Bl. Edward Osbaldeston Biography
Bl. Edward Osbaldeston was the son of Thomas Osbaldeston. He learned at the English College in Douai, France, and afterwards at the theological college in Rheims, France. Edward was ordained on 21 September 1585. On 27 April 1589, he came back to England to priest to convert Catholics. Had an extraordinary dedication to Saint Jerome. Double-crossed by Thomas Clark, an apostate priest, he was captured at a hotel in Tollerton, Yorkshire on 30 September 1594. Gone after for high injustice by reason of being a minister, he was immediately censured. Saint.
