Blessed Maria Crucified Satellico Life History

Blessed Maria Crucified Satellico was the daughter of Piero Satellico and Lucia Mander. She grew up in her maternal father’s home who was a priest.

Maria was weak and sick while young but very strong in prayers. She always claimed and had the urge to become a nun.

Maria became a spiritual student in the Poor Clare Monastery of Ostra Vetere and was responsible for singing and playing the organ.

Later, She joined the Poor Clares at age 19 and made her religious vocation on May 19 1726 taking the name, Maria Crucified. Served as an abbess of her community.

Blessed Maria died on November 8 1745 at the age of 39 in Ostra Vetere, Italy and buried at the Church of Saint Lucy in Ostra Vetere, Italy.
