Saint’s Biography
Saint Agrecius of Trier was a Patriarch of Antioch, friend, and advisor to empress Saint Helena. Agrecius became bishop of Treves in Germany and for 20 years. In 314, he attended the Council of Arles. He built many parish churches in his diocese and cared for the relics of Trier, which Helena collected on her travels through the Holy Land. saints Maximus and Paulinus taught at the schools of Agrecius, and he was familiar with St. Athanasius. He died in 335 of natural causes.
