Biography
Blessed Bertrand of Grand-Selve, a monk known for day by day Gospel study and contemplation; he was known to have great visions during Mass. Noted minister who headed out to southern France to neutralize the Albigensian blasphemers; the Albigensians constrained him to escape to Italy for a long time for his own security. Transforming abbot of the religious community of Grandselve, Toulouse, France, he rejuvenated the house and went along with it to the Cistercians on 31 May 1145.
