St. Bruno of Querfort Biography
St. Bruno of Querfort was uncle to Saint Bruno of Wurzburg. He was a spiritual student of Saint Romuald and Saint Adalbert of Magdeburg. Bruno wrote a biography of Saint Adalbert and the martyred monks ( The five polish Brothers).
He became a Benedictine monk, taking the name Boniface in 997 AD. Served as the archbishop in Merseburg, Germany in 1004 and then left to Hungary for evangelism work. He was killed on the grounds in his mission.
