Saint’s Biography
Saint Didymus of Alexandria rescued Saint Theodora, she was a young Christian girl of Alexandria in Egypt who was sentenced to be a slave in a brothel. St. Didymus traded clothes with her while still a pagan soldier. This led to him been killed in the persecutions of Diocletian.
St. Didymus of Alexandria Death
He was beheaded in 304 in Alexandria, Egypt. St. Didymus has a statue carved – 1667-1668 (Part of a group of 16 statues made between May 1667 and July 1668).
