Biography
Saint Drostan, destined to the Scottish eminence, the child of Cosgrach. Taught by Saint Columba. Benedictine priest. Made a trip to Aberdeen, Scotland with Saint Columba. First abbot of the cloister at Dier in Pictland. Abbot of Dercongal Abbey (Holywood). He proselytized the Picts, and carried Christianity to upper east Scotland. In the long run resigned to live as a devout loner at Glenesk. His notoriety for holiness pulled in numerous poor and debilitated individuals, and there were many recuperating marvels ascribed to him.
