Saint’s Biography
Saint Eustace of Vilna was nobles belonging to the court of the Lithuanian prince Algirdas, in Vilna. Eustace converted to the Christian faith by the priest Nestor. He refused to sacrifice to idols and professed to be Christians and for this; he was sentenced to be hanged. Later on, a church and the monastery built in his honor in 1347.
