Saint Giuliana of Turin

St. Giuliana of Turin was also known as Giuliana of Ivrea or Juliana. He was a lay woman who gave Christian burial to the Martyrs of Turin in 297 AD. Her relics were enshrined in the church of the Martyrs in Turin, Italy.

Blessed Berengar of Assisi

Blessed Berengar of Assisi was also known as Berengario de Asís. He was a Mercedarian preacher in the Spanish cities of Granada, Valencia and Murcia who was noted for his prison ministry.

He ransomed 358 AD Christians who had been enslaved by Saracen invaders. At Santa Maria, Guardia Pratorum is where he died.

Saint Gilbert of Meaux

St. Gilbert of Meaux was born in Vermandois, France. He studied at St. Quentin. He became an Archdeacon and then bishop of Meaux, France in 995 AD.

At Meaux, France in 1009, he died due to natural causes. His relics were enshrined in the cathedral of Meaux in 1491 and in 1545. The relics were then destroyed by the Huguenots in 1562.

Saint Peter I of Vercelli

St. Peter I of Vercelli was also known as Petrus. He was a bishop of Vercelli, Italy in 978 AD and was murdered for political reasons by the future king of Italy, Arduin of Ivrea.

In 997 AD, he died and was interred in the cathedral of Vercelli, Italy. When it became a focal point for anti-Arduin sentiment, the king set the cathedral on fire.

Saint Gosbert of Osnabrück

St. Gosbert of Osnabrück was also known as Gaudbert, Gautbert, Gauzbert, Gotebert or Gozbert. He was a spiritual student of St. Anskar and worked as a missionary with St. Nithard.

He later became bishop of Osnabruck, Germany from where he supported more missionary work in Sweden. On February 2 874 he died of natural causes.

Saint Stephen of Rieti

St. Stephen of Rieti was an abbot at Rieti, Italy. Pope Saint Gregory the Great describes him as “rude of speech, but cultured of life”.

Stephen devoted himself almost wholly to prayer and was known for his concern with the spiritual lives even of those who wronged him. He died in 590 AD due to natural causes.

Saint Marice

St. Marice was a martyr. His relics were transferred from Rome, Italy to Cannaiola di Trevi, Umbria, Italy by order of Pope Innocent X.

He is the patron for Cannaiola di Trevi, Umbria, Italy which was declared on April 13 1647.

Saint Guimérra of Carcassone

St. Guimérra of Carcassone was also known as Guimera. He was a tenth-century bishop of Carcassone, Narbonne, Gaul (in modern France). In 931AD, he died in Carcassone, Narbonne, Gaul (in modern France).

Saint Huno

St. Huno was also known as Huna. He was a priest and a benedictine monk at Ely, England under St. Etheldreda.

After Etheldreda’s death, Huno retired to a hermitage in The Fens region of England. He died in 690 AD near Chatteris, England.

Saint Stephen of Lyon

St. Stephen of Lyon was also known as Stephanus of Lyon. He was a bishop of Lyon, France and worked to convert the Arian Burgundians to orthodox Christianity. In 512 AD, he died of natural causes.

Saint Benignus of Todi

St. Benignus of Todi was a priest in Todi, Italy. He was martyred in the persecutions of Diocletian and died in 303 AD. He was among the 140 saints memorialized on the colonnades in Saint Peter’s Square.

Saint Maura of Ravenna

St. Maura of Ravenna was the nurse to St. Fusca of Ravenna. She was martyred in the persecutions of Decius and died in 250AD in Ravenna, Italy.

Saint Julian of Lyon

St. Julian of Lyon died as a martyr in Lyon, France at an unknown date.

Saint Dyfnog

St. Dyfnog was born in Wales and was venerated in Clwyd, Wales. He died in the 7th century AD.
