Saint Gregory of Ostia was a Benedictine monk later an Abbot in the of the monastery of Saints Cosma e Damiano ad Micam auream, Rome, Italy. Cardinal elected bishop of Ostia, Italy and Vatican librarian 1034 AD of Pope Benedict IX. He died on May 9, 1044, at Logroño, Spain of natural causes
