St. Hadelin of Chelles Biography
Hadelin of Chelles was born of a noble background. He was a Benedictine monk and a spiritual student of Saint Remaclus. Hadelin worked with Remaclus at Solignac, Maastricht, and Stavelot. He was ordained as a priest by Saint Remaclus. He founded the Chelles abbey with the assistance of Remaclus and Pepin of Heristal.
Hadelin spent his later days as a hermit near Dinant.
