St Euthymius of Nicomedia, also known as Euthymios, is remembered for his steadfastness during the persecutions of Christians under Emperor Diocletian.
He encouraged fellow Christians to remain firm in their faith and took it upon himself to provide Christian burials for martyrs who had been killed during this period.
His actions led to his execution in 303 AD in Nicomedia, Asia Minor. Euthymius is honoured as a martyr, with additional memorials observed on December 28, as one of the 20,000 Martyrs of Nicomedia, and on September 3 in the Eastern calendar.
Saint Mochua of Timahoe
St Mochua of Timahoe was born in Achonry district of Connaught, Ireland. He was the son of Lonan.
As a young man, he was a soldier and a monk. He founded a monastery in Derenish, County Laois, Ireland, and the monastery of Timahoe (Teach Mochua / House of Mochua) in County Cavan, Ireland.
Some monasteries in Scotland claim Mochua as their founder. He died in 658 AD in the monastery at Derenish, County Laois, Ireland due to natural causes.
Saint Delphinus of Bordeaux
St Delphinus of Bordeaux was also known as Delfinus or Delphin. He was a friend of St Ambrose of Milan and St Venerius of Milan.
He was instrumental in converting St Paulinus of Nola. He was a bishop of Bordeaux, France, and Ordained St Amandus.
He assisted at the Council of Saragossa in 380 AD, and fought the Priscillianist heresy. He died on December 24 403 AD due to natural causes.
Blessed Ignacio Caselles García
Blessed Ignacio Caselles Garcia was born on November 18 1874 in Gata de Gorgos in Alicante, Spain. He was also known as Juan Crisóstomo of Gata de Gorgos.
He was a Franciscan Capuchin priest. He was among the martyrs who were murdered in the Spanish Civil War in Orihuela, Alicante, Spain on December 24 1936.
Pope Francis beatified him on October 13 2013.
Blessed Brocard of Strasbourg
Blessed Brocard of Strasbourg studied in Paris, France. He was a friend of Blessed Reginald of Orleans. He joined the Dominicans in Paris on February 1 1220.
He was assigned to preach and teach in the Holy Lands where he founded houses in Bethlehem, Nazareth, Damascus, and other cities.
He was the prior of the Dominican Province of the Holy Lands.
Blessed Pablo Meléndez Gonzalo
Blessed Pablo Meléndez Gonzalo was born on November 6 1876 in Valencia, Spain.
He married a layman in the Archdiocese of Valencia, Spain. He was among the martyrs who died on December 24 1936 in the Spanish Civil War at Castellar Highway, Valencia, Spain.
Pope John Paul II beatified him on 11th March 11 2001.

Blessed Venerandus of Clermont was born in Clermont, Auvergne, Gaul (modern France). He was a member of the senatorial family.
He was a bishop of Clermont, France from 385 AD until his death 38 years later.
He supported evangelists throughout the region. He died in 423 AD due to natural causes.

Blessed Alberic of Gladbach was also known as Adalbert, Adelbert or Albert. He was a tenth-century soldier and a knight.
He was falsely accused of a crime and was blinded as punishment. He was a pilgrim and a benedictine monk at Gladbach, Germany.

Blessed Peter de Solanes was a soldier and a knight. He was a Mercederian, receiving the habit from St. Peter Nolasco.
Saint Gregory of Spoleto
St Gregory of Spoleto was a priest. He was martyred in the persecutions of Maximinian Herculeus.
He died in 304 AD and is a representation of an angel calling him to heaven.
Blessed Francesco dei Maleficii
Blessed Francesco dei Maleficii was also known as the Apostle of Corsica.
He was a Franciscan missionary to Corsica. He died in 1290 due to natural causes.
