Saint John Sergius
St. John Sergius was also known as John of Mar Sabas. He was a monk at the eremetical abbey (a laura) of Saint Sabas’ near Jerusalem. He was martyred with 20 other monks in an Arab anti-Christian raid during which many others were injured but escaped. One of them, named Stephen, wrote a poem in honor of the group known as the Martyrs of Mar Sabas. He died in 796.
Saint Remigius of Strasbourg
St. Remigius of Strasbourg was born to the nobility and was also known as Remi or Remidius. He was the son of Hugh of Alsace and cousin of St. Odilia of Hohenburg. He was an abbot of Münster near Colmar, France and a bishop of Strasbourg, France in 776. In 783, he died.
Saint Anastasius XVI
St. Anastasius XVI was also known as Anastasius of Jerusalem or Anastasius of Saint Sabas. He was a monk and an archimandrite of St. Sabas Abbey in Jerusalem. He was murdered with his brothers in an attack by a band of thieves in 797.

The Martyrs of San Sabas were twenty monks who were martyred together in their monastery by invading Saracens. They died in 797 when they were burned inside the San Sabas monastery in Palestine.
